Jacob is originally from New Haven, Indiana, and currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended New Haven High School, where he was a member of both the baseball and tennis teams. On the tennis court, he earned a spot in the starting lineup as a sophomore and quickly rose to the #1 singles position. He was named team captain during his senior year. On the baseball field, Jacob began as a first baseman but transitioned to a full-time catcher in his sophomore year. He was also part of the 2019 Sectional Championship team.

Jacob graduated with distinction from Indiana University in December 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management and Marketing. While at IU, he played three seasons with the Indiana University Club Baseball program. He started on the Division I team as a freshman and was elected Treasurer in the summer of 2022. In this role, he played a key part in expanding the club to include both Division I and Division II teams, contributing significantly to the planning and implementation of the expansion.

In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time outdoors, watching the Chicago Cubs, and being with friends and family.
