The 2021 Mid Atlantic – East Conference schedule has been released!  Coppin State, Longwood, George Mason, and Pittsburgh will battle it out for the top spot in this highly competitive conference! Two-time NCFA National Champion Coppin State looks to continue its dominance of the MAC East, by claiming their 8th divisional crown in nine years.  George Mason is coming off a solid season in 2019, with a 3-1 conference record and 4-3 overall.  The Patriots will look to carry that momentum into 2021 and put an end to Coppin State’s run of dominance.  Longwood looks to finally break through and put together a winning season for the first time in since 2016, where they fell one game short of the divisional title.  Pittsburgh will be a new face to the MAC East and will look to make their presence felt as a potential candidate to dethrone the Eagles.

The 2021 Mid Atlantic – West Conference schedule has been released!  Ohio State, Wright State, Miami (OH), & Toledo will battle it out for the top spot in this highly competitive conference! Defending national champion Ohio State looks to make another run at the title in 2021, while Miami (OH) seeks to claim the divisional crown for the first time since 2017. Wright State doubled their wins from 2018 to 2019 and look to pick back up with a successful 2021 season.   Toledo is a new face to the conference and looks to mimic Fort Lauderdale’s inaugural season with a national title run of their own.

2021 MID-ATLANTIC – WEST CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

The 2021 South Atlantic Conference schedule has been released!  Gordon State, Columbus State, and UNC Greensboro will all compete for the top spot in the south this fall!  UNC Greensboro is back in the conference after a two year hiatus and should be a tough matchup for the other teams in the conference. The defending South Atlantic champion, Columbus State, went 3-0 this spring and will look to carry that momentum into the fall season.  Newcomer Gordon State University also saw some action this spring, and will look to make an impact in their first season as a member of the league.

2021 SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

The 2021 North Atlantic Conference schedule has been released!  Sacred Heart, Vermont, Eastern Connecticut State and Clarkson will all play each other twice in a home-and-away format. This should make for a very competitive regular season in the North Atlantic! Excited to see who comes out on top!

2021 NORTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

The NCFA is excited to announce that our very own Justin Rickert has been named the new Director of Football Operations,        effective immediately.

Serving as Great Lakes Conference Coordinator in 2020, Justin has done a fantastic job working with all of the current NCFA teams and we believe he will continue to grow and enhance the overall NCFA experience.  We couldn’t be more excited for you all to work with him.  For those of you not familiar with Justin, he was born and raised in Butler,  PA,  about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.  He graduated from Robert Morris and graduated in 2019 with a degree in Sports Management.  Justin began working at CollClubSports in 2019, serving primarily as the Rawlings Account Manager.  He currently serves as Regional Coordinator for two NCBA regions, along with serving as Conference Coordinator with the NCBBA.  He has been a tremendous asset from day one and we couldn’t be happier to have him take on this new challenge of running NCFA Football Operations.  All of you will be in very good hands.

IMPORTANT! – The date and time has been set for the 2021 NCFA Annual League Meeting.  The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 9th starting at 6:00pm EST.  This year’s league meeting will be conducted through the Zoom Video Conferencing platform.  A link to join the Zoom call has been sent out to all team representatives.  Teams that have not received the link should contact Sandy Sanderson directly.

The National Club Football Association has officially decided to suspend all conference athletic events and championships through the spring 2021 semester in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. League administrators have already undertaken a full review of its ability to shift fall sports competition and championships to the spring semester, and have determined that a spring season is not feasible at this time. The NCFA fully intends to return to competition in the fall of 2021, assuming athletic competition can be safely executed.

“The entire league as a whole has worked hard these last few months to prepare for the return of club football beginning this spring,” explains NCFA President Sandy Sanderson. “Despite our planning and collective efforts, it has become clear that we are not able to do so. Unfortunately there are only 6 teams in the NCFA reporting they are allowed to compete this spring and only 1 conference (South Atlantic) having more than 1 team allowed to compete. Thus given these numbers it will be impossible for the NCFA to successfully host a spring 2021 football season.”

The NCFA will now shift our focus towards a reboot for the fall ’21 season. The league will provide updates this Thursday (1/28/21) with the next steps towards planning for fall ’21.

Team Write-Up: Columbus State University started the club program in 2010 and has been a part of the NCFA since. We have been competitive every year. We finally won the South Atlantic Conference championship in 2019. We have placed over 50 kids in scholarship programs since our program has started.

Interesting/Fun facts: Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia is located 1 hour and 30 minutes south of Atlanta, Georgia. We consider our University to be a “diamond in the rough.”
