Eastern Connecticut State forfeited their week 2 conference game to Sacred Heart on less than 6 days notice violating NCFA Rule: 16.04.0. The team has also failed to provide the payment of their $500 performance bond and will be placed on probation, making them ineligible for all weekly, seasonal, and national awards for the rest of the season.

The Mid-Atlantic Conference is shaping up to be a battle wits for the 2021 season. With the NCFA back in action for the 2021 season, we are excited to announce the Great Lakes Conference Season Preview! As always, all eyes are on Oakland to claim the Great Lakes Conference Championship for the 2021 season. However, conference rivals Loyola and Michigan State look to dethrone the Oakland dynasty and put a new team on the NCFA map. The 2021 Great Lakes Conference schedule has been released!  For the first time since the 2012 season, the Great Lakes Conference will condense into one division, as former East & West rivals will square off in some highly anticipated regular season matchups!  Oakland, Michigan State, SIUE and Roosevelt will battle it out for the conference title this upcoming season.  Oakland University, a 2-time NCFA National Champion, has won the Great Lakes Conference Championship the past four seasons and will look to keep adding to the trophy case in 2021, but will face some stiff competition along the way.  Former divisional rival Michigan State has played second-fiddle to Oakland since 2017, but will look to avenge previous losses by knocking off the Grizzlies and secure a spot in the conference title game.  Roosevelt University, formerly known as RMU-Peoria, will finally have the opportunity to play spoiler to Oakland in the regular season and add a new chapter of their own in this rivalry.  SIUE looks to bounce back from a tough 2019 campaign and get back to their winning ways previously seen in the 2018 season, where the Cougars went 3-1 in the Great Lakes West (5-2 Overall).
